TD Music - JUNO Awards Activation Case Study

Project Overview:
For the 2023 JUNO Awards, TD Bank launched a nationwide activation celebrating how music impacts us personally. I collaborated with the creative team to develop animated iconography and short-form motion content used across digital, social, and experiential touchpoints. From Meta in-feed posts to on-site screens and digital keepsakes, each asset added energy and brand cohesion to the campaign’s emotional, fan-first narrative.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Motion Design & Animation: Created looping animations and expressive iconography to support both digital storytelling and on-site activations.
- Experiential Content Development: Built animations that appeared in branded experiences, including the JUNO keepsake video booth.
- Social Video Production: Designed and produced multiple short-form videos tailored for Instagram and Meta platforms.

Challenges:
- Delivering a wide range of assets in multiple formats - each tailored for platform-specific specs while maintaining brand consistency.
- Balancing emotional storytelling with contest clarity and sponsor messaging.
- Designing iconography that was expressive, inclusive, and sharable across experiential and digital activations.

Outcome:
The animations helped unify the visual language across social, web, and on-site activations, contributing to higher engagement with contest entries and on-site participation. Fans left with animated, personalized videos that blended branded visuals with JUNO excitement - creating long-tail awareness for TD’s support of Canadian music culture.
